OUR EXPERIENCES
We upcycle old wooden fishing boats into a sailing hotel room. Our guests get to experience a part of the cultural heritage of a maritime country like Denmark. You can stay in the habour or book one of our captains to sail you from habour to habour.
ABOUT US
The fishing industry in Denmark is under pressure. Especially in Baltic Sea you are not allowed to catch cod anymore. The result is that most of the old historic ships are being chopped up. We want to stop that and at the same time offer unique accomodation for our guests. Most people have tried a classic square hotel room with a double bed and flat screen tv. With these boats we want to offer them something else: an authentic historic experience where you can unwind and reconnect with your relatives.
OUR IMPACT
On a small scale, we’ve kept two historic boats alive by renting them out as unique accommodations. On a larger scale, we’re developing a new business model to preserve wooden boats across Denmark—proving that with creativity and fresh thinking, it's possible to keep this heritage alive nationwide.
We also aim to inspire our guests—and anyone who hears our story—to consider restoring rather than always building or buying new. Constant consumption puts a growing strain on global resources.
