FORT

Explore Cold War history through guided tours and underground tunnels in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with insights from former soldiers and local volunteers.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Experience the history of the Cold War at FORT. Follow in the footsteps of soldiers on a guided tour and seize the chance to explore the underground tunnels of Stevnsfort 18 metres below ground in Stevns Klint, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

ABOUT US
The Museum preserves artifacts and materials from the Cold War and works to maintain and restore the underground fort. Its goal is to educate about history and to draw relevant insights from the past that help us better understand the world today.

OUR IMPACT
FORT actively works to preserve the cultural heritage of the underground fort and is continuously restoring rooms from the former military workplace. This is done with the aim of museum-based interpretation, supported by the dedicated efforts of local volunteers. All guides at FORT are former soldiers who share both their own service experiences and the local Cold War history - presented as a lens through which the broader historical context is illuminated.
