ABOUT US

Proyecto Alto Perú strengthens community wellbeing in Chorrillos through sports, art, and urban regeneration. We empower youth, revitalize shared spaces, and promote safety and inclusion. By connecting visitors with our programs, we create meaningful encounters that support long-term social and environmental impact. Proyecto Alto Perú was brought to our attention by Vamos Expeditions, a Peruvian DMC.

IMPACT

Proyecto Alto Perú creates measurable positive impact in Chorrillos by using sports, art, and community action as tools for social transformation. Through year-round programs, we engage hundreds of children and youth in surfing, skating, and wellbeing activities that build confidence, reduce exposure to violence, and strengthen community safety. Over 70% of our team and instructors come directly from the neighborhood, ensuring local economic opportunity and long-term continuity.
We revitalize public spaces through murals, clean-ups, and co-designed urban improvements, transforming neglected areas into safer, more vibrant community hubs. Environmental initiatives promote ocean stewardship, beach cleanups, and responsible water use, cultivating environmental awareness among youth and visitors. Educational workshops and cultural exchanges empower participants to become role models, creating ripple effects throughout the community. Travelers directly support and engage with these efforts, contributing to a sustainable, community-driven model that improves wellbeing and preserves local identity.
