Experiences are designed to foster cultural understanding and support responsible, community-based tourism.
ABOUT US
Las Casitas del Arco Iris is a social-enterprise lodge in Urubamba whose revenue supports the Niños del Arco Iris Foundation. Through this model, we provide education, nutrition, healthcare, and emotional support for vulnerable children in the Sacred Valley while offering travelers meaningful stays that contribute to long-term community wellbeing. Las Casitas del Arco was brought to our attention by Turismo Cuida and by Vamos Expeditions, a Peruvian DMC.
IMPACT
Las Casitas del Arco Iris operates as a social-enterprise lodge, with revenue directly supporting the Niños del Arco Iris Foundation and ensuring a stable, transparent funding model for long-term programs. The foundation provides comprehensive support for nearly 200 children, including quality education, nutritious meals, healthcare access, psychological support, and family-oriented guidance. Programs are delivered by trained local staff, creating employment and strengthening community capacity.
Environmentally, the lodge prioritizes low-impact operations, natural materials, and energy-efficient practices. Through staff engagement, informational materials, and ethically supervised site visits, travelers gain awareness of regional social challenges and the positive role of responsible tourism. Each stay directly contributes to educational outcomes, emotional wellbeing, and healthier futures for local children.
