Initiatives such as the National Community-Based Tourism Strategy or conservation allies from SERNANP (National Service for Protected Natural Areas) promote inclusive development and responsible travel practices. Community enterprises—from Andean weaving cooperatives to Amazonian ecotourism associations—co-design experiences that protect biodiversity, strengthen identity, and ensure fair economic opportunities. In addition, PROMPERÚ actively promotes sustainable tourism by giving visibility to community-led initiatives featured in the Meaningful Travel Map, connecting them with the commercial value chain and fostering direct positive impact on local communities. This approach reinforces regenerative principles by ensuring that tourism benefits flow equitably, while celebrating Peru’s living cultures and safeguarding its natural heritage.
