ABOUT US
Led by the Ese Eja Native Community of Infierno, we promote ecotourism, research, and conservation in the Tambopata National Reserve. Ñape Lodge, situated two hours from Puerto Maldonado on the Tambopata River, offers immersive experiences within the community’s territory, connecting visitors with nature, culture, and the reserve’s rich biodiversity.
OUR IMPACT
In the Native Community of Infierno, tourism plays a vital role in diversifying limited income sources. In partnership with private companies, the community has developed tourism initiatives that prioritize sustainability and harmony with the environment. Every aspect of the experience has been carefully planned, from the design and construction of facilities to the use of clean energy and responsible management of natural attractions.
Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Ese Eja people, exploring traditional crafts, jewelry, dances, customs, and local cuisine. Activities are designed to engage travelers while ensuring the preservation of both cultural and natural resources.
Through these efforts, tourism becomes a tool for sustainable development, creating economic opportunities for the community while fostering respect for the environment and ancestral traditions. Infierno offers an authentic and transformative experience, connecting visitors with nature, culture, and the enduring legacy of the Amazonian rainforest.
