ABOUT US
FEDETUR–Llachón unites 16 tourism associations to share ancestral knowledge through crafts, traditional agriculture, and local cuisine. Nestled on the Capachica Peninsula by Lake Titicaca, Llachón blends Quechua culture, biodiversity, and archaeological heritage. Its unique landscapes and ties to Uros, Amantaní, and Taquile offer travelers an authentic community tourism experience.
OUR IMPACT
The organization promotes responsible and sustainable tourism within its territory, offering visitors authentic experiences rooted in the daily life of the community. Families open their homes for accommodation, inviting travelers to share in everyday activities such as artisanal fishing, birdwatching on Lake Titicaca, and participating in agricultural and culinary traditions. Through these immersive experiences, visitors gain a deeper understanding of our customs, values, and way of life, while the community strengthens its cultural identity.
Our gastronomy highlights local ingredients, prepared following ancestral techniques, while clean energy powers our homes and facilities, reflecting our commitment to environmental sustainability. Artisanal crafts, made from natural and locally sourced materials, are shared with travelers, connecting them to the Aymara heritage and fostering appreciation for traditional skills.
By combining cultural immersion, environmental care, and community engagement, our tourism initiatives offer visitors a meaningful, authentic experience while promoting respect, preservation, and the sustainable development of our territory and people.
