ABOUT US
The Grupo Pumachiri Experiential Tourism Association preserves Collagua culture while offering travelers immersive experiences. Guests enjoy nature and tranquility, sharing the warmth of local families who open their homes, impart ancestral knowledge, and provide unique cultural experiences, blending heritage, hospitality, and the serene beauty of the Andean environment.
OUR IMPACT
Our organization has been developing Community-Based Tourism for over 20 years, contributing to the economic growth of our community. Tourism has created opportunities for women to engage with visitors through home activities, while also encouraging young people to take an active role in preserving our cultural heritage, shared through dances, gastronomy, and visits to archaeological sites.
All products and ingredients are grown and harvested organically by the community, using ancestral planting and harvesting techniques in which visitors can participate. These experiences not only support sustainable agricultural practices but also foster the conservation of our natural environment.
Through these activities, visitors engage in a genuine cultural exchange, learning about our traditions, values, and way of life. Community tourism strengthens local identity, preserves ancestral knowledge, and ensures that both residents and travelers can enjoy authentic encounters with our heritage, nature, and living culture.
