The Legacy River Kwai Resort
OUR EXPERIENCES
The Legacy River Kwai Resort offers a 300-acre green haven with over 4,600 trees, just 1.3 km from the River Kwai. It's a family-friendly destination with water activities, forest bathing, and wildlife education. This natural therapy spot, free from pollution, adheres to the 4/F principle: far from pollution, front of the river, full view of mountains, and close to nature. Visitors experience eco-friendliness, relaxation, and animal care while promoting physical and mental well-being. It fosters memorable shared activities for families, agencies, schools, and officials, encouraging innovation like making fertilizer from food scraps and supporting local organic farming for income distribution within the community.

OUR IMPACT
At Legacy River Kwai Resort, we have implemented a comprehensive sustainability strategy across various areas: - Energy Efficiency: We reduce energy use for transportation by encouraging walking, biking, and using alternative energy sources like biofuels and electric vehicles. Additionally, we employ energy-saving measures within our operations, such as using solar cells and promoting responsible electricity use in guest rooms.
- Community Engagement: We actively engage our nearby community members by providing job opportunities at our homestay, enhancing their economic prospects. We also collaborate with local schools to educate students on waste separation and sustainable practices.
- Reducing Carbon Emissions: We advocate for turning off engines when parked for over 5 minutes, arrange group transportation for guests, and support public transportation use. Our circular economy learning center disseminates waste separation concepts and promotes low-carbon activities.
- Promoting Local Tourism: We offer activities that reduce carbon emissions, such as cycling tours, and encourage guests to reduce electricity and water usage. We also support local businesses by selling community products at our resort.
- Sustainable Menu: Our menu features low-carbon and local food options, including organic produce from our own learning center, reducing the need for transportation and supporting local farmers.
- Local Souvenirs: We prioritize locally made souvenirs, such as bamboo keychains and award plaques, benefiting the community and reducing environmental impact.
- Carbon Offset Activities: We encourage guests to participate in carbon offsetting activities like cycling, towel reuse, and responsible electricity use.
- Community Support: We collaborate with local farmers and communities to create income opportunities, organize community markets, and provide knowledge transfer through educational sessions.
- Economic Impact: We've generated significant income for the community and local employees, contributing to their livelihoods.
- Education: We share our knowledge with the community and local schools through educational sessions, benefiting both residents and students. Through these initiatives, we are committed to environmental sustainability, community empowerment, and responsible tourism practices.
