Tromsø Villmarkssenter offers year-round adventures including dog sledding, husky hikes, puppy visits, and Northern Lights tours with our 200 friendly Alaskan huskies. OUR IMPACT
Tromsø Villmarkssenter makes a positive impact through responsible tourism, cultural preservation, and sustainability. As a family-run business, we provide stable local employment, use local suppliers, and train our guides in safety, environmental care, and animal welfare.

We preserve Arctic traditions by sharing the heritage of dog sledding and collaborating with local schools to offer educational experiences for youth. Environmentally, we convert dog waste into bio-energy, minimize single-use materials, and continuously work to reduce our footprint.

Through every tour, guests gain a deeper understanding of Arctic ecosystems, responsible travel, and animal care, helping to build awareness and appreciation for this fragile environment.

When are you open?
We operate daily throughout the year, except on May 17th and the evening of December 24th, when the center is closed. Our daily hours vary depending on the season.

What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
At Tromsø Villmarkssenter, we strive to make our experiences as accessible as possible. Our center is wheelchair accessible to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. Our team is happy to discuss individual needs in advance to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. However, due to the nature of some activities and Arctic terrain, full accessibility may be limited, so we encourage guests to contact us beforehand to find the best options.
