Lofoten Seaweed is a women-founded company based in the Arctic Lofoten Islands. We sustainably harvest seaweed and craft natural, flavour-rich products for conscious consumers and the travel industry. Our mission is to make seaweed a staple in modern kitchens while protecting ocean ecosystems and inspiring people to explore new, sustainable tastes from the sea.

OUR IMPACT
Lofoten Seaweed creates positive impact through a sustainable business model rooted in respect for nature and local culture. We hand-harvest wild seaweed in the cold, clean waters of Lofoten using methods that support marine regeneration and low environmental impact. Our products help travellers and hospitality partners integrate climate-friendly, nutritious seaweed into modern cuisine. By offering tastings and short, engaging presentations in our shop, we raise awareness of seaweed’s role in future food systems, while supporting the local economy and preserving traditional harvesting knowledge.
