Brim Explorer

Experience silent, electric maritime adventures with expert-led tours, showcasing marine life and breathtaking landscapes in a sustainable and accessible way.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Brim Explorer is a tourism and technology company offering silent, electric, and innovative experiences at sea. Established in 2018, we launched our first vessel in October 2019. Since then, we have developed and built five custom electric and hybrid-electric ships, all designed to provide guests with unique, close-up encounters with marine life and stunning coastal landscapes.

Our main operations have been based in Arctic Norway, where we have built a strong regional presence with four vessels. In addition, we operate one vessel in the capital, Oslo, as we continue expanding our reach and redefining sustainable maritime tourism.

ABOUT US
Brim Explorer is a tourism and ship-owning company offering silent, sustainable experiences at sea on purpose-built electric and hybrid vessels. Founded in 2018, our mission is to help decarbonize maritime travel while raising awareness about marine life and climate change.

We combine innovative ship design with engaging, expert-led tours tailored to each destination and season. Starting in Arctic Norway and inspired by decades of whale-watching experience in Iceland, Brim Explorer has quickly become a leader in nature- and wildlife-based tourism.

OUR IMPACT
We are committed to innovation with the goal of operating fully emission-free by 2030. Our electric motors allow silent operation, reducing disturbance to wildlife and enhancing the guest experience.

Live guiding is central to our tours, offering personal interaction, local insight, and learning. Guests leave with a deeper understanding of the region, climate change, and its impact on the Arctic and marine life.

We also promote climate-friendly choices, encouraging reduced meat and plastic consumption. To lead by example, we serve only seafood and plant-based meals and take a clear stand against whaling.
