Nusfjord Village & Resort
OUR EXPERIENCES
At Nusfjord Village and Resort, we offer immersive stays in one of Norway’s best-preserved fishing villages, combining authentic rorbu (fishermen’s cabins) accommodation with locally rooted experiences such as Arctic fishing, mindful workshops, and cultural heritage walks. Guests connect deeply with Lofoten’s coastal traditions through curated activities led by local experts, while supporting the preservation of our historic village and its surrounding environment.
ABOUT US
Nusfjord Village and Resort is a heritage-driven destination set within one of Norway’s oldest and best-preserved fishing villages. Our mission is to protect and revitalize the cultural and natural legacy of Nusfjord by offering immersive, community-connected travel experiences. Through partnerships with local fishers, artisans, and environmental stewards, we provide guests with meaningful encounters rooted in Arctic traditions—while reinvesting in the sustainability of the village and surrounding ecosystems for future generations.
OUR IMPACT
Nusfjord Village and Resort is dedicated to preserving the cultural and natural heritage of our historic fishing village in Lofoten, Norway. Operating under a regenerative tourism model, we reinvest directly into the local community and the restoration of traditional rorbu cabins using local craftspeople and heritage techniques, creating skilled jobs and protecting cultural assets.
We collaborate with local fishers, artists, and producers to co-create authentic experiences—such as guided fishing trips, artisanal workshops, and locally sourced dining—that celebrate and sustain Arctic traditions. Our low-impact approach includes limiting visitor numbers, using renewable energy, reducing food waste, offering electric boat options, and prioritizing sustainable materials. In line with the “Roadmap for Norway’s tourism industry,” we are working toward Environmental Lighthouse certification to ensure continuous improvement. Every guest stay actively supports the resilience of our community and environment.
