Camp Ripan

Camp Ripan

Experience the Arctic's magic with warm hospitality, sustainable practices, and adventures like dog sledding and Northern lights in a stunning natural setting.

OUR EXPERIENCES
It’s an experience deeply rooted in the culture and nature of Kiruna, where the magic of the Arctic meets warm hospitality. We want our guests to discover what we love about Kiruna—an experience built on consideration and respect for the nature, culture, and people who call this place home.

For us, long-term sustainability is just as important as genuine hospitality. We work with everything from food composting and energy recovery to using locally produced raw materials in one of Sweden’s most climate-smart kitchens. We support local businesses and work diligently to maintain our extensive annual Nordic Swan certification.

Be inspired by the little things—like our homemade spa products or the locally sourced wood in our handcrafted tables—and be reminded that even small choices can lead to big changes.

ABOUT US
Kiruna offers a wide variety, from a majestic mountain landscape to exciting architectural history, from the Northern lights to the Midnight sun, from snow-filled dog sledding tours to Icelandic horses. Situated on the edge of the town, with views of both the mountains and the vast forest with its hiking trails and ski tracks, adventure is never far away at hotel Camp Ripan.

OUR IMPACT
Sustainability is at the core of our operations at Camp Ripan. We actively work to ensure our guests have a memorable stay with minimal environmental impact. Our commitment includes using energy and resources efficiently by implementing energy-saving solutions and intelligent technologies. We prioritize locally sourced and organic products and strive to minimize the use of disposable items. To reduce food waste, we adjust portion sizes and cooking processes, while also supporting active recycling and waste sorting. We aim to create a welcoming environment where all guests feel valued and are offered personal experiences rooted in local culture and history. Internally, we promote an open and supportive work environment where our team members feel appreciated and involved in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Our sustainability strategy reflects our ambition to be a role model in the tourism industry by actively contributing to a sustainable future. We hope your visit with us is not only enjoyable but also inspiring.
