Cykelkokken
OUR EXPERIENCES
Cykelkokken offers unique gastronomic rides through Copenhagen, where guests cycle alongside the chef, who rides a custom-built mobile kitchen and acts as host. Along the route, participants enjoy locally sourced Nordic cuisine served at curated stops, while exploring both the city’s vibrant neighborhoods and green spaces. This immersive experience combines storytelling, sustainability, and seasonal flavors into an unforgettable journey on two wheels.
ABOUT US
Cykelkokken was founded to create a deeper connection between food, place, and people through movement and shared experiences. Our mission is to bring guests closer to Copenhagen’s culture and landscape by combining gastronomy, cycling, and storytelling. We aim to offer slow, sustainable travel where every dish reflects the season, the setting, and the spirit of the city. With a focus on local ingredients, outdoor dining, and meaningful encounters, we celebrate Nordic cuisine in motion.
OUR IMPACT
Cykelkokken promotes sustainable and meaningful travel through small-scale, low-impact gastronomic cycling tours. Centered on seasonality, organic ingredients, and direct collaboration with local producers and artists, our mostly plant-based menus highlight sustainable fisheries and minimize animal protein. All ingredients are delivered by bicycle, keeping our supply chain emission-free and community-driven.
By guiding guests through Copenhagen’s neighborhoods and green spaces, we deepen their connection to Nordic food culture, urban biodiversity, and responsible food systems. Each tour champions slow travel, cultural heritage, and smart sustainable design.
Our goal is to offer the highest-quality culinary experience—on two wheels. All our chefs are professionally trained and locally based, ensuring an authentic, personal taste of Copenhagen.

When are you open?
Our gastronomic cycling tours run from April through October. In 2025, tours have started from our signature base at Svajerbar as well as from several nearby hotels in central Copenhagen. Private group tours can be booked every day at either 11:00 or 17:00 and last approximately 4.5 hours. A minimum of 8 participants is required for a private booking. For individual travelers, we offer open tours every Wednesday evening at 17:00, for which tickets can be purchased directly via our website. During the off-season (November to March), we are closed for regular tours, but we are currently developing a special off-season concept to be shared with our partners soon. Tailored winter experiences may also be available upon request.
What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
We strive to make our tours as inclusive as possible. While our standard experience involves cycling, we collaborate with local rickshaw operators—such as Cykeltaxa.dk—to accommodate guests who are unable to bike. These trusted partners are familiar with our routes and provide a comfortable and engaging alternative.
Our team is also happy to adapt the pace and flow of the tour to meet individual needs, and we are always open to dialogue in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. Accessibility is an important part of our hospitality philosophy.
