OUR EXPERIENCES 
Haltia offers travelers exhibitions, guided tours, outdoor activites, equipment rental, restaurant and cafe, nature shop, seasonal events and meeting facilities. We offer volunteering opportunities together with Parks and Wildlife Finland (Metsähallitus Luontopalvelut).

OUR IMPACT
We offer environmental education and awareness through initiatives such as our Nature School, promote well-being and mental health through connections with nature, and ensure easy accessibility with trails to Nuuksio National Park starting right outside our doors. Our operations are sustainable and support both tourism and the local economy. We have demonstrated a wide range of positive impacts, particularly in environmental sustainability, education, community engagement, and visitor outreach.

What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre – is designed to be fully accessible, allowing visitors of all abilities to explore both the exhibitions and the surrounding nature. Accessible parking, barrier-free entrances, spacious elevators, and adapted restrooms ensure ease of movement throughout the building. Outdoors, the 1.8 km Maahisenkierros Trail offers a wheelchair- and pram-friendly route with handrails and rest areas, making nature easily reachable for everyone.
