Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens and Parkland
OUR EXPERIENCES
Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens offers 40 acres of protected green space, a rare 18th-century landscape and formal garden lovingly cared for by a small independent charity. Visitors can stroll through heritage orchards, explore peaceful woodland walks, or volunteer to support wildlife and conservation projects, experiencing firsthand the blend of history, community, and nature that defines this sanctuary.
ABOUT US
Our mission is to protect and share one of the last surviving examples of an early 18th-century formal garden and landscape in the United Kingdom. We open our gates year-round to welcome everyone, offering a space for peace, exploration, and discovery. As a charitable trust, we aim to balance heritage conservation with inclusive access to nature and culture, ensuring this historic green space continues to inspire future generations.
OUR IMPACT
As a small independent charitable trust, we carry a large responsibility to heritage, nature, and people. Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens is not only a nationally significant heritage site but also a vital community resource in one of England’s most deprived urban areas. We provide free or low-cost access to green space, education programs, and volunteering opportunities that promote well-being, connection, and skills-building. Our impact extends across social, cultural, and environmental areas—protecting biodiversity, celebrating local history, and fostering a sense of belonging through inclusive community engagement.
