Windsor Carriages
OUR EXPERIENCES
Windsor Carriages curates private, full-day heritage experiences within Windsor Great Park and the surrounding royal town. Each visit is offered by private appointment and includes every detail — from chauffeur transfers and carriage travel to lunch reservations, local activities, and exceptional British hospitality. Hosted by professional coachmen and guides, every experience connects travelers to Windsor’s landscape, stories, and timeless tradition through a world-class, sustainable heritage encounter.
Each commission is designed as a seamless, start-to-finish itinerary rather than a standalone carriage ride. The team personally arranges all logistics — chauffeur services, dining, photography, and estate activities — ensuring one high-value private experience per day.
ABOUT US
Windsor Carriages is a family-founded heritage travel company curating private day visits and events within Windsor Great Park — the only licensed horse-drawn operator of its kind in the UK. Our mission is to preserve traditional carriage driving as a living part of Windsor’s story while offering guests meaningful, sustainable encounters with British history and hospitality. Each experience is crafted with care, blending storytelling, fine details, and exceptional horse welfare to create a world-class heritage experience that gives back to the community.
We seek to preserve the tradition of horse-drawn travel and equine craft in Windsor while creating measurable community, educational, and environmental impact.
OUR IMPACT
Windsor Carriages creates meaningful impact through sustainable heritage tourism — preserving a centuries-old tradition while investing directly in people, animals, and place. Our social and community impact includes employing professional coachmen and horses nationwide, sustaining rare heritage skills and rural employment. We reinvest 4% of all sales into the local community through our Schools Programme and charitable partnerships, offering free carriage experiences for disadvantaged children, SEND schools, and children’s hospices. Our environmental impact begins with our horses — a naturally zero-emission form of travel. We offset emissions from support vehicles through UK tree-planting projects and prioritise sustainable practices such as reusable materials, digital operations, and sourcing from local, family-run Windsor businesses. Our educational impact extends through guided storytelling and outreach, bringing Windsor’s heritage to life for guests and students alike, and inspiring awareness of responsible travel, animal welfare, and cultural preservation. Together, these initiatives sustain Windsor’s living history while proving that luxury and responsibility can coexist in meaningful harmony.
