The Garlic Farm
OUR EXPERIENCES
The Garlic Farm grows organic garlic, sources specialty garlic and creates garlic-infused products. Visitors to the family-run farm can dine at the award-winning restaurant, browse the farm shop for garlicky goodies and local produce and gifts, tour the organic farmland and stay at on-site accommodation.
ABOUT US
We’ve been growing garlic on our Isle of Wight farm for over 50 years. We’re committed to bringing garlic flavour, inspiration and information to our customers, through our visitor farm, our quality products and excellent service. Caring for the environment is at the forefront of what we do - we are a B Corporation and our farmland is certified organic by the Soil Association. We aim to be efficient with our resources and respectful of the land and each other.
OUR IMPACT
The Garlic Farm holds Soil Association Organic Certification and is one of eleven farms to achieve B Corp status in the UK (2023). It has achieved a King's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. The farm offers educational outreach to schools, the general public, and local businesses. The Garlic Farm prioritises carbon insetting, biodiversity conservation, and circular resource management, implementing initiatives like mob grazing of cows and goats within the garlic rotation, woodland restoration, habitat creation, and soil regeneration. Its WETland Waste Water Treatment system processes 100% of on-site wastewater, reducing reliance on mains sewage, while also providing habitat for a diverse mix of flora and fauna. The Garlic Farm hires locally, supports adults with additional needs, and donates surplus food. It is a Living Wage Employer. With strong environmental and social impact measures, it exemplifies how regenerative systems can enhance business performance.
