Strawberry Field
OUR EXPERIENCES
Strawberry Field offers a unique blend of services including an interactive visitor exhibition, a café, tranquil gardens, and a gift shop, all centred around the legacy of John Lennon and the site's historical significance. Travellers can experience the organisation through guided tours, immersive exhibits, and peaceful reflection spaces. As a non-profit, Strawberry Field also provides volunteering opportunities that support its employment training programmes for young adults with learning difficulties, helping to foster inclusion and personal development.
ABOUT US
Strawberry Field, operated by The Salvation Army in Liverpool, is a multifaceted initiative with a mission to empower young people with learning difficulties and other barriers to employment through tailored training and work experience. It also serves as a cultural and historical site, offering access to the grounds that inspired John Lennon’s iconic song, while preserving its legacy through an interactive exhibition, gardens and café. The vision is to create a world where all individuals, regardless of their challenges, are given the opportunity to thrive, contribute meaningfully to society, and find inspiration through heritage, creativity, and inclusion.
OUR IMPACT
Strawberry Field in Liverpool opened on 2019 transforming a historic site into a thriving visitor attraction, café, gardens and retail space plus a fantastic social enterprise, offering training and employment opportunities for young adults with barriers to employment through our Steps to Work programme.
We foster community inclusion and cultural preservation while reinvesting profits from our visitor attraction and commercial activities into the Steps to Work programme. The site also promotes environmental sustainability through our eco-conscious design, commitment to responsible tourism and accessibility.
