OUR EXPERIENCES
Gentle, self-guided EBike and walking holidays in the UK's National Forest. Explore a region yet to be discovered by mass tourism and learn more about the creation of England's first large forest in 1000 years. Daily luggage transfer and local support. 5% discount offered to guests arriving by train.
ABOUT US
We love exploring areas off the beaten track and experiencing gentle, yet active holidays away from the crowds. Rather than clocking up the miles, we relish the opportunity to take our time, savour delicious local food, and soak in the authentic sights and sounds of a region. As the National Forest developed, it became clear that the region has all the ingredients for a perfect EBike or walking break, yet remains undiscovered. Therefore, in 2019, we decided to set up our own family-run, self guided EBike and walking holiday business, offering fellow gentle adventurers the same level of personal service that we like to enjoy on our own holidays and a genuine authentic experience.
OUR IMPACT
As a tourism business in the heart of the National Forest, we are committed to responsible and sustainable tourism, minimising the environmental impact of our business. We won the silver award at the national Visit England Awards 2022 for responsible and sustainable tourism and hold a Green Tourism gold award. A cycling or walking holiday is naturally an environmentally-friendly way to enjoy the countryside, as well as being much more fun than a car! Unlike some parts of the UK, The National Forest area is still undiscovered by mass tourism. We are therefore encouraging visitors to enjoy cycling and walking holidays in a new area of the UK, rather than somewhere that is already struggling to cope with high numbers of visitors. We offer a 5% discount to all guests arriving by public transport. Guests stay with small local providers, generally in villages and small towns around the National Forest. Our holidays are self-guided, meaning that guests travel in their own small group – often just one or two couples. We operate in a tight geographical area and are never more than 30 mins away from our guests. All of our tourism destinations and local villages really appreciate visitors arriving by bike or on foot. We actively promote small local businesses and experiences along the way, which in turn are supporting the local economy, keeping alive rural crafts and contributing to the National Forest visitor economy.
